Meet the staff

Karen McLoughlin, Kindergarten Teacher

Karen McLoughlin is a Kindergarten teacher at Studley School.  She has a degree in Elementary Education from Stonehill College and a master's degree in Special Education from Bridgewater State University.   She has been teaching in Attleboro for 27 years.  She has a 22-year-old daughter who just graduated from college and an 18-year-old son who is a Freshman at UMASS Amherst.  They have 3 cats and one dog that keep them very busy!  In her spare time, she loves to go for walks, bake, read and volunteer at a local cat shelter.   She also loves traveling to her home in New Hampshire and taking family trips to Disney World every summer.


Michelle Fabisch, Wellness/PE Teacher 

   

Mrs. Fabisch has been the Wellness Teacher here at Studley for the last six years! She has been in the field of Education since 2005 and holds a Bachelor's of Science in Physical Education with a specialization in Adaptive Physical Education, a Master’s in Education in Curriculum and Teaching, and just this past summer she finished her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in School Leadership/ Principal & Assistant Principal K-8! 

Mrs. Fabisch is the mom to 3 kids, a 7th grader- Alex, 4th grader- Anneliese, and 1st grader- Emily! She and her husband, Matt live in Rhode Island with their children, 2 cats (Blaze and Lola), and Olde English Bulldog (Ozzie).  When she is not taxiing her children around from baseball to horseback riding or to dance, she enjoys going to the beach, gardening, and competing in Strongman competitions! 


Erica Caron - Afonso, School Adjustment Counselor

Erica Caron-Afonso, known as Mrs. Afonso, is in her seventeenth year as a school adjustment counselor at Studley. She has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Bridgewater State College (currently Bridgewater State University) and a master’s degree in Social Work from Boston College. Prior to Studley, she worked at an alternative high school, as a hospital social worker and as a Clinical Coordinator at a diagnostic and residential program for teens. She loves being a support to students and helping them learn skills to improve their social and emotional well-being. She loves working with the amazing staff and students at Studley.

Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters (ages 8 and 13). They also have a bunny named Coco and a fish named Blueberry.  She enjoys walking, spending time in nature, watching cooking and travel shows, reading and being with friends and extended family.
